Manifest that Sh*t

Hey loves!

“She created a life, she loved” was on the framed quote that caught my eye at Hobby Lobby this weekend. Not only was it cute, but it actually made me think about where I currently am in this season and where I was, just a month ago.

Over the past month, I have left a toxic work environment, searched for new employment, moved to a new apartment, started a new career position, coordinated a wedding and influencer event for a client. Phew!

Being without a job for a month was actually one of the best things to happen to me both spiritually and emotionally. However, not the best thing for my credit card debt (Yikes!) I had the option to move home to Iowa and my lease was up. However, I love lex and I knew my time here was not up yet!

Way back in February, I was blessed to have my best friend Jasmine visit me for Galentines Day! We had a great girls weekend! In between the pampering, eating, and margarita drinking; we made vision boards! I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a ton of stickers, that aligned with my goals. I loved how my board turned out and I hung it up near my vanity. I looked at it daily, then weekly, and eventually it became just another wall decoration.

Over the past month while reflecting, I was both resilient and mindful. I began to mediate more, cook more, go on longer walks with Bella, prioritize my time, sound healing at Creatures of Whim, and actually looked at my vision board. I did what it said “JUST START.” Sometimes the whole starting thing is easier said than done. I get it. Start small and work your way up. That’s what I’m doing. Slow and steady.

“In order to get on the other side of doubt and fear, we must have commitment.” -Otis Williams – Crossroads Church

I’m slowly becoming more grounded and reconnecting with who and what is important in my life. I’m investing energy into myself, my goals, and those who have invested in me. If you have made it this far, I want to encourage you to have faith, don’t take the easy way out, and reconsider who and what your energy goes to.

Mine went to finding an enriching new career, starting an Event Planning and Public Relations business, being more present with family and friends, and loving myself at every stage.

Moral of the story, whether you have a vision board or not, manifest that Sh*T! The universe loves a stubborn soul 😉

Stay Committed

Stay Sassy

Fabulous blog & just what I need now. I need to be more mindful of what I’m putting in my body, what spending my time on that I shouldn’t & what I need to be focusing more time & energy on!
